Cassiopeia Classic Sock Yarn in Rusalka - a tonal green with hints of teal.
Hand dyed, 80% Falklands Polwarth wool, 20% Nylon.
This is a lovely soft wool sock yarn, which is as soft as Merino but has a little more bounce, plus the added strength from nylon content to ensure your socks last.
Also suited to garments and next-to-skin accessories, this yarn has excellent stitch definition for textured and cabled projects, with a little nylon for extra strength.
This Polwarth wool is from the Falklands. This breed originated as a 3/4 Merino; 1/4 Lincoln cross. It has much of the Merino softness and the matte texture, but has more bounce and character than Merino.
The wool has been processed and spun in the UK, and hand dyed in my studio in Bournemouth, Dorset. Each dye batch is listed as a separate variation as I do not always keep the dye quantities the same.
4ply weight; 400m per 100g skein Superwash treated (hand wash recommended for longer life)

Colourways may be repeated but they will not necessarily stay exactly the same - for this reason all yarn & fibre is offered on a 'one-of-a-kind' basis. Inspiration comes from many sources including mythology and legend. If you have an idea for a particular colourway then we would be very happy to hear from you!
I aim to ensure that all weights are accurate to within 5%, and wherever possibly I will try to ensure that items are overweight rather than under.
Care instructions are included in each listing. Wool should be hand washed unless the listing specifies otherwise.
Please do contact me if you have any issues at all with your order. I'll do my very best to put things right.
I do inspect all items before listing, but if something has slipped through then I will happily replace it.
All postage is offered at a flat rate of £3 for the UK and, £10 USA and £7.50 rest of world, no matter how many items you order.

All combed tops & yarns are hand dyed by Kat using professional acid dyes. Where mutiple skeins are available, they are from the same dye batch, however our dye technique produces unique skeins so we recommend you alternate skeins if using more than one in a single project.
Every effort is made to exhaust dyes fully, however there may be some colour bleeding on first washing. Please be aware of this if you combine the yarn with a lighter colour.
